Description:
A Special Education Teacher position is available for Lineville Intermediate School. The individual plans, implements and assesses student learning experiences. The teacher will help foster a love of learning for students and appropriately guide the learners to lead their learning. Facilitating parental involvement and building strong relationships with students is a vital part of this role. The COVE at Lineville is a safe place for students who struggle to find success within the regular classroom setting. A successful candidate for this position will have experience and knowledge in creating and implementing individualized education plans that focus on a student's strengths, and allow them to find success within the school day. A willingness to collaborate with administration, colleagues and families on behalf of the student is also a must. This position is located at Lineville Intermediate School for Grade 5-6. Start date is August 17, 2026. The Howard-Suamico School District offers highly desirable benefits as part of our total compensation package.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Licensure and certification by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in Special Education, Cross-categorical or Cognitive/Intellectual Disabilities (1801 or 1810). Successful completion of student teaching experience. Knowledge of current educational methodology and practices. Experience in or knowledge of: Viable candidates will be an active member of the school community, be able to create a positive and supportive classroom community, be organized and efficient, and to facilitate the district and school's mission to develop 21st Century Learners.
