Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students at both the middle school and early childhood levels in a vibrant educational environment near Montello, WI.
Two positions are available:
one focused on resource/co-teaching for 6th and 7th graders with learning disabilities and other health impairments, and another dedicated to supporting early childhood students from ages 3 through 1st grade—including children with autism, vision challenges, and higher needs. Your expertise will empower students in areas such as reading, math, and executive functioning, ensuring they receive personalized guidance for their unique learning journeys. The early childhood role includes homebound instruction for select students, giving you the chance to make a difference in multiple settings.
Qualifications:
Active Wisconsin multi cross-categorical or EBD teaching license required Experience or strong interest in working with LD, OHI, autism, and students with complex needs Solid background in delivering instruction in reading, math, and executive functioning strategies Ability to adapt teaching methods and collaborate in resource and co-teaching settings Comfort with occasional homebound support, particularly for young learners
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for coordinated service delivery Implement accommodations and modifications to foster student success Engage regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams Document progress and maintain detailed student records Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Both openings are full-time, running 7:30am-3:30pm and totaling 37.5 hours per week.
