Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our childcare center. They will be helping with ages 6 weeks to 7 years old. The ideal candidate will support our educational team by creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that implements social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. This position would be perfect for individuals who want to get a start on their career and enthusiastic about early childhood education by fostering the children's developmental growth! Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons for students with special education needs. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play and transitions. Help lead teacher prepare classroom materials and resources for daily lessons. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress. Qualifications At least 18 years old Associates degree in the field OR completed Introduction to Childcare Profession course and Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher OR some education in the field Completed or enrolled in the course Fundamentals of Infants and Toddlers within 6 months after assuming the position CPR/First Aid completed within 3 months Abusive Head Trauma/Shaken Baby Syndrome Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Wisconsin Registry within 3 months Mandated Reporter Experience Previous experience in a classroom setting or childcare environment is preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs is beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
