9670152-53188 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment near Waukesha, WI. This full-time position follows a 40-hour work week, with primary classroom hours from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Youll be responsible for teaching in two self-contained classrooms and collaborating with general education staff through a push-in instructional model for the remainder of your time. This role calls for a dedicated educator passionate about individualized learning and fostering growth in students with diverse needs.
What you bring:
Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Wisconsin Demonstrated experience working with students with varied abilities Expertise in both self-contained and push-in classroom models Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families Flexibility and creativity in delivering engaging, differentiated instruction Commitment to maintaining a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment Ability to start promptly and participate in interviews as soon as possible Preference for on-site work (teletherapy candidates not prioritized) Primary responsibilities: Lead instruction in two self-contained special education classrooms Partner with general education teachers to provide targeted support within mainstream classrooms (push-in model) Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals Engage in regular communication with families and multidisciplinary teams Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment Contribute to program development and school initiatives as needed Explore a role where your expertise directly shapes student success.
