This is a full-time, contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year, offering 35 hours per week across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Work directly with students who have special needs, including those with behavioral or intellectual disabilities, and help foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active or pending Paraprofessional certification through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) One of the following: associate's degree, 48 college credit hours, or successful completion of the WorkKeys exam (reimbursement offered for exam expenses) Experience working with children or adolescents preferred, especially in special education settings Reliable, adaptable, and patient with strong interpersonal skills Ability to provide a supervisor reference prior to interviewing
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in implementing educational and behavioral plans tailored to each students needs Support students with daily activities, classroom participation, and social interaction Provide one-on-one or small group instruction and guidance Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to enhance each child's educational experience Help create a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment Track student progress, follow individualized education programs (IEPs), and report observations as needed Connect your passion for assisting students with a role where every day brings new opportunities to help learners thrive.
