MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Current West Virginia Elementary Education Certification and Multi-Categorical with Autism Certification

Private School Principal and Director of Special Education SALARY:

Employment in this position is contingent upon funding availability and staffing needs. Work hours and assignments will be provided on an as-needed, as-funded basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with classroom teachers to develop and implement proven instructional support and intervention in compliance with the Individual Education Plan (IEP). Provide high quality instruction and performance support for Special Education students who have an IEP. Utilize identified scientific, research-based interventions focused on small group and individual student needs. Identify student's instructional strengths and weaknesses by administering assessments to guide instruction. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and individual instruction. Prepare lesson plans for identified Special Education students. Maintain accurate reports and documentation required to address the IEP. Maintain the confidentiality of school and student records. Perform such other tasks and assume responsibility as the immediate supervisors may from time to time assign related to support the identified Special Education students and families.
