Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their educational journey as a Special Education Teacher, available in a contract position for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity welcomes both onsite and virtual (VOCO) educators eager to collaborate with a dedicated school community near Martinsburg, WV. The assignment runs from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with full-time hours averaging around 35 hours per week. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current West Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement (

ANY of:

Autism Spectrum [AS], Learning Disabilities [LD], Behavior Disorders [BD], or Mild/Moderate Impairments [MI]) Previous experience in special education settings preferred Comfortable with in-person or virtual instruction as assigned Strong communication skills for effective coordination with staff, students, and families Ability to adapt lesson plans based on student needs Passion for supporting diverse learners with individualized plans
