Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact as a dedicated educator, supporting students with visual impairments in a school-based setting near Riverton, WY. This contract position offers a full-time schedule, allowing you to work closely with students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), helping them access the curriculum and reach their fullest potential.

Desired Qualifications:

Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligibility for certification Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments Proficiency in adapting instructional materials, including Braille and tactile resources Strong collaboration skills to partner with teachers, therapists, and families Ability to assess students' needs and monitor growth in both academic and daily living skills Flexibility, empathy, and a passion for inclusive education

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments in both individual and small group settings Develop and modify lesson plans tailored to students' varied visual and academic needs Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure accessible learning environments Provide support and training to staff and families on adaptive strategies and assistive technology Maintain accurate records, write progress reports, and contribute to IEP meetings Support students in developing compensatory, organizational, mobility, and life skills
