Alabaster and Shelby County Substitute Teacher/Para/Clerical Needed! We are hiring substitutes for many roles within Shelby County School District. Minimum requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current resume Pay for substitute:
Certified Teachers:
$115/dayAlabaster Certified Teachers:
$115/day- Shelby County
Non-Certified Teachers:
$105/dayClerical:
$10.50/hourShelby County Clerical:
$20.00/ Alabaster- Paraprofessional (certified): $12.50/hour

Responsibilities of Substitute Teachers:
- Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
- Build a classroom environment that's conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students
- For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments Responsibilities for
Clerical Workers:
- Role reports to the Assigned School District Administrator who has ultimate responsibility for designing and implementing clerical services, along with providing day-to-day and all job-specific instruction
- Organize and maintain an efficient and effective office that handles a variety of tasks for the administration, faculty, students, and parents of the school.
- Perform secretarial and clerical tasks of a varied nature.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and efficient office environment.
