Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for maintaining the continuity of education in the absence of the regular teacher. This role requires effective classroom management skills, the ability to implement lesson plans, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners, including those with special needs. Responsibilities Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with autism and special education requirements. Engage students in learning activities that promote literacy, math skills, and overall childhood development. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom behavior. Provide support for curriculum development and lesson planning as needed. Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance during the absence of the regular teacher. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. Strong classroom management skills and experience in behavior management strategies. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Familiarity with various teaching methodologies, including Montessori and special education techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience in tutoring or providing individualized support to students is a plus. A background in literacy education, math instruction, or curriculum development is desirable. Previous experience in private schools or preschool settings is beneficial but not mandatory.
