Job Description

Tuskegee-Macon County Head Start/Early Head Start strives to empower our community and our families through meaningful partnerships and education. We are seeking to hire a Substitute Teacher to work at a variety of our 4 centers located in and around the city of Tuskegee. Are you ready to prepare our students for success?
ROLE SUMMARY
: This position is responsible for assisting the teacher in employing curricula that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of infant, toddler and preschool children, ages 12 months-5 years, from diverse backgrounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have high school diploma or GED. Must meet criteria for background screening as required for child care licensing and federal regulations.
PREFERRED
Coursework in Early Childhood Education Experience in early childhood education Knowledge of the community and its resources PERKS Temporary staff are not eligible for benefits. However, all staff, including our Substitutes qualify to use our Complimentary Employee Assistance Program as well as participate in our Professional Development Program.
