About GRO Enrichment GRO Enrichment is a homeschool enrichment microschool serving students in Kindergarten-6th grade. Our program focuses on small-group learning, subject rotations, and an engaging, relationship-based educational environment. Classes are intentionally kept small, with no more than 10 students per class , allowing instructors to provide more individualized support and build meaningful connections with students. How Our Classes Work GRO uses a subject-based teaching model . Rather than teaching every subject to one grade level, instructors typically teach one subject across multiple grade levels throughout the day. For example, you may substitute for our Science instructor and teach Science to several different grade-level groups as they rotate through your classroom.

Math Reading Writing Science Social Studies All lesson plans, schedules, and instructional materials are provided. No curriculum planning or take-home preparation is required.

Responsibilities May Include:

Following provided lesson plans and classroom schedules Teaching an assigned subject to different grade-level groups Leading educational activities and discussions Supporting students individually or in small groups Maintaining a positive, calm, and respectful learning environment Helping students stay engaged and on task Supervising classroom transitions, lunch, and/or recess as needed Communicating important classroom notes or concerns to GRO staff Following GRO policies, routines, and safety procedures

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children is required Teaching certification is not required , although education or classroom experience is preferred Must be dependable, patient, flexible, and comfortable working with Kindergarten-6th grade students Comfortable leading a small classroom or group of students Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow provided lesson plans and adapt when needed Must be willing to complete required background checks and onboarding paperwork Because substitute coverage is often needed when a regular instructor is unexpectedly unavailable, we are especially looking for individuals who are reliable, responsive, and comfortable accepting occasional short-notice opportunities when their schedule allows. Schedule & Pay Monday-Thursday School hours: 9:00 AM-2:00 PM As-needed/substitute basis Maximum class size of 10 students $14-$19 per hour , depending on the class or assignment Paid the same day No evening or weekend hours No lesson planning or take-home work Our shorter-than-average school day makes this an especially convenient opportunity for parents who need to be available for their own children's afternoon school pickup , education students, homeschool parents, retired educators, tutors, or anyone looking for meaningful part-time daytime work. Substitute opportunities are offered on an as-needed basis , so there are no guaranteed weekly hours. Substitutes can accept available days based on their own schedule and availability.
