Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow and implement the teachers the teachers lesson plans and classroom routines with fidelity. Maintain a safe, respectful and positive classroom environment that aligns with school-wide expectations. Manage student behavior in a manner consistent with the school's behavior policies. Provide clear instructions and support to students while promoting engagement and learning. Take attendance and report any student issues or concerns to the appropriate staff. Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch and dismissal as assigned. Leave detailed notes for the returning teacher summarizing the day's activities and any notable student behavior or issues. Protect the confidentiality of students and staff in accordance with school policy and legal requirements. Follow all school policies, including safety procedures and code of conduct expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required Prior experience working with children or in a classroom setting is strongly preferred. Ability to follow instructions, manage groups of children, and maintain classroom order. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and reliability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
May substitute in various grade levels (K-8), including general education and special education settings. May be called on short notice Education Required Bachelors or better
