Job Description

Cornerstone Christian Schools (CCS) is a PS-8th private Christian school in Camarillo, CA. Our mission is to develop students who are biblically grounded, academically equipped, and globally prepared. Essential requirements are being a born-again Christian in belief and practice and affirmation of the CCS Statement of Faith found on our website, www.ccsed.org. Other requirements include teaching from a Christian worldview, being able to communicate subject matter knowledge, effectively managing behavior, using technology appropriate for the classroom, implementing lesson plans, communicating with students, families, and staff as needed, supervising students, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding the CCS community, among other duties and responsibilities. Must be reliable and possess good judgment. Performing the essential functions of this position include but are not limited to ascending and descending a 20-step staircase multiple times per day, sitting, standing and walking, and light (up to 15 pounds) lifting and carrying. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Possessing a teaching credential and successful experience teaching K-8 students is highly desirable. Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations and meet other statutory requirements. For consideration, please submit a resume.
