A Substitute Teacher teaches or supervises classes for teachers who are away on leave or sick. May substitute for teachers at several different schools or school districts. May substitute for one day or for a longer term absence; may follow lesson plans developed by the regular teacher, or work with teacher who will be out to create new lesson plans and assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:
A valid teaching credential through the Commission on Teacher credentialing, an Emergency Long Term credential. Must have a
B.A., B.S.
Degree and a valid Driver's License and insurance.
Fundamental Responsibilities:
Provide instruction to at-risk students. Teach content and skills in the assigned subject matter. Develop and implement lesson plans for multi-subject and/or single subject curriculum. To improve academic skills and to provide career and vocational awareness/education. Instruct students in citizenship, and basic communication skills. This position needs to work effectively with multi-cultural/diverse groups, and have the ability to establish a positive relationship with students, possess knowledge of concepts in computers in an instructional environment. Must be able to work with cooperative group methods. Current TB Test within the last 90 days, OR you will have to retest before employment. Fingerprints are required through Fresno Live Scan, Agape will cover the cost of the fingerprinting. Other fingerprint results from another agency / district will NOT accepted.
