Full Job Description Description:
Our substitute teachers are a crucial part of our team! As an On-Site Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for facilitating the continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Your primary duty will be to manage the classroom environment effectively and deliver pre-prepared lesson plans or assignments provided by the absent teacher. Additionally, you will ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students, manage classroom behavior, and address any questions or concerns from students to the best of your ability. When not serving as a substitute teacher, you will also have the opportunity to provide additional support in various classrooms as needed. This may involve assisting teachers with classroom activities, working with individual students or small groups, providing supervision during study periods, or performing other duties to enhance the educational experience. . Your flexibility and willingness to assist in various capacities will contribute to the overall success of the school environment and help meet the diverse needs of students and faculty alike. History Focus for Fall. Aspen Ridge secondary 7th-12th grade.
Requirements:
1. Valid Substitute Teaching Permit or Teaching Credential 2. Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred 3. CBEST 4. Background Check through Aspen Public Schools 5. Resume 6. 2 Letters of Reference 1. Previous experience working with high school students preferred. 2. Strong classroom management skills. 3. Ability to follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided. 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. 6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
