EFC is Oakland's largest charter operator, serving over 3,000 students in the Fruitvale and Elmhurst neighborhoods of East Oakland. Five of seven of our schools were formerly OUSD schools that converted to EFC to leverage the flexibility and agility provided by charter law for greater outcomes for our students. Job Summary Job Summary Education for Change (EFC) is looking for dynamic and visionary teachers who will engage students, parents, and other members of our learning community to ensure high student achievement. The CEP Substitute Teacher works everyday throughout the school year to ensure that students have quality instructional support. S/He performs all duties of a classroom teacher on a day-to-day basis to cover teacher absences, professional development, grade level meetings, and evaluation and coaching conferences. They may also be assigned to support the instructional program, including materials preparation and clerical tasks.
