Essential Elements:

Print The substitute teacher is responsible for the full schedule of the classroom teacher. This includes, but is not limited to the classroom day, study halls, yard duty supervision and other daily duties performed by the classroom teacher. The substitute teacher is to implement the daily instructional plans of the classroom teacher in an effective manner; to maintain a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils while maintaining proper classroom management. The subsitute teacher is to work effectively with the building administrator and other teachers to minimize any potential transition problems from the teacher to substitute and substistute to teacher.
