A Substitute Teacher teaches or supervises classes for teachers who are away on leave or sick. May substitute for teachers at several different schools or school districts. May substitute for one day or for a longer term absence; may follow lesson plans developed by the regular teacher, or work with teacher who will be out to create new lesson plans and assignments.
Montessori Assistant Guide — Maternity Leave Substitute Cosmos Montessori | San Francisco, CA Cosmos Montessori is seeking a warm, dependable, and passionate Montessori Assistant Guide to join our community as a maternity leave substitute. This position will be full-time from October 2026 through July 2027 , covering one of our teachers during her maternity leave. After July 2027, we would love for the right person to remain connected with Cosmos Montessori as an on-call substitute teacher. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is interested in Montessori education, child development, and becoming part of a small and close-knit school community.

Qualifications Required:
Experience working with children ages 0-3 Minimum of 6 ECE units Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain required certification before starting Required immunization documentation, including MMR and Tdap Current TB clearance Ability to meet California childcare licensing requirements
Preferred:
