This is a part-time, flexible position—substitutes choose when and how often they work based on their availability.

Qualifications Minimum Requirement:
Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit To qualify, applicants must hold a valid Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit, which authorizes individuals to substitute in grades preschool through 12th grade. Learn more and begin the permit application process through the Ventura County Office of Education here: www.vcoe.org/Credentialing/Substitute-Permits To obtain the Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching, you'll need:
  • Official transcripts showing a conferred bachelor's degree or higher
  • Fingerprints cleared through the
CTC VCOE
