Substitute Teacher Part Time/Temporary/Non-Exempt Compensation is $180/Day Chartwell School is seeking substitute teachers to join our team. Chartwell is currently open for on-campus learning on our beautiful 60-acre campus in Seaside, CA. We are an independent school on the Monterey Peninsula in coastal California, approximately 100 miles south of San Francisco. Chartwell serves students in grades 1-12, who have been identified as having dyslexia or related language-based learning differences. Class sizes are small and teachers individualize instruction while teaching to small groups. The successful candidate is responsible for following lesson plans for core subjects including, language arts, humanities, and/or math instruction and school electives. In addition, the candidate may cover lunch and other responsibilities. Chartwell offers a unique professional growth opportunity for teachers and substitutes who want to grow their professional career toward including a deep understanding of cognitive learning profiles and brain-based educational practices.
