Instructs students and facilitates their learning in the absence of the regular teacher while maintaining discipline and classroom management that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff.Responsibilities:
Provide coverage for teachers who are absent Communicate effectively with students Incorporate understanding and appreciation for diversity into instructional practices Effectively utilize time, materials, and resources to ma imize learning time for all students Create and manage a learning environment that promotes a safe and orderly classroom Implement lesson plans developed by the licensed teacherQualifications:
Required:
Active Colorado Substitute Teaching Authorization (1, 3, or 5 year) or a Colorado Teaching license Complete and submit BVSD online applicationAttach:
copy of CDE teaching license or substitute authorization, two letters of reference, and/or reference surveys.Preferred:
E perience working with children Course work in education, human services, or related field Proven ability to work effectively with adults and children Effective verbal and written communication skillsSalary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to eperience and education. Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (eisting employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule ) . BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process. This information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including eperience and education.
