Position Overview:
The Long-Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and maintaining continuity of learning during the absence of the regular classroom teacher from November 2026 - April 2027. Candidates must be able to create a positive and engaging learning environment while implementing curriculum, assessing student progress, and supporting the academic and personal growth of students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver daily mathematics instruction in accordance with the school's curriculum and lesson plans for five (5) classes per day. Supervise students during assigned duties, including study halls and lunch. Assess student learning through quizzes, tests, classwork, homework, and other formative and summative assessments. Communicate effectively with students, parents, counselors, and school administrators regarding student progress and classroom expectations. This is a long-term substitute position per diem pay based on education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field required.
