• 3-Week Long-Term Substitute Teacher Sorrento Bright Future Academy, a private school in Sorrento, Florida, needs a dependable full-time Long-Term Substitute Teacher to cover a three-week leave, starting immediately. This is a defined, full-time assignment with guaranteed hours
• not on-call work. We use the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) School of Tomorrow curriculum, which is individualized and self-paced. Students work through their own materials at their own pace, so this role is less about writing and delivering lesson plans and more about supervising, guiding, and keeping students moving toward their goals. Training on the ACE model is provided
• no prior ACE experience is required.

Assignment length:

3 weeks, starting immediately.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM

• 4:00 PM (40 hours per week).

Pay:

$18.00

• $20.

00 per hour, based on experience and certification.

Location:

Sorrento, Florida (in person) What you will do:

• Supervise a learning center of PreK through 12th grade students working in the ACE / School of Tomorrow curriculum.
• Keep students on task and on pace with their daily and weekly goals.
• Score and check student PACEs and record academic progress.
• Provide one-on-one help and small-group support where students need it.
• Administer PACE tests and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a calm, orderly, and encouraging classroom.
• Supervise students during arrival, transitions, lunch, recess, and dismissal.
• Communicate professionally with parents, the Director, and school staff.
• Follow all school, Florida DOE, DCF, and safety policies.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree required (any field; education or a core academic subject preferred).
• Experience teaching, substituting, tutoring, or working with school-age children preferred.
• Comfortable supporting students across a range of grade levels and subjects.
• Available for the full three-week assignment.
• Strong classroom management, organization, and record-keeping skills.
• Must be able to complete required background screening and meet applicable Florida requirements. Candidates who already hold a current Level 2 background screening clearance are strongly preferred and may be able to start immediately.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
