GED Driver's License Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Substitute Teacher assumes the full role and responsibilities of the Teacher in his/her absence, provides support to regular classroom staff for the establishment, maintenance and management of all classroom activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements daily lesson plans and daily schedules. Organizes and maintains learning centers within the classroom. Maintains order by using positive approaches to behavior management. Recruits volunteers and solicits in-kind contributions. Attends meetings, trainings and workshop as required. Maintains cleanliness of classrooms and adjoining restrooms. Serves as an advocate for the Head Start Program, families and children. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma and/or GED and At least one year experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATION
Must have current driver's license and access to use of automobile with current insurance. Current CDA or AA in ECE required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, play/ interact with children in rigorous outdoor play for up to 45 minutes at a time, sit, bend, sit on the floor; use hands and fingers to handle or Substitute Teacher-Early Head Start feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
