Ankeny Teacher Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree or 60 credit hours Must be at least 18

Ankeny Paraprofessional Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 Ankeny Pay rates:

Substitute Teacher:

$170/day

Substitute Paraprofessional:

Responsibilities:

Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation Teacher Responsibilities Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported. Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions. For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Paraprofessional Responsibilities Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported. Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions. Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.
