Pay:
The daily substitute teacher pay rate is $170 per day. Long-term substitute teacher pay rate is $220/day. Bonus pay of $250 after 25 whole days of substitute teaching; an additional $250 after 50 whole days of substitute teaching; and $500 after 100 whole days of substitute teaching.

To help students develop knowledge, skills, and talents that will contribute to their talents in order that they may become productive citizens. Reports to: Building Principals
Requirements:
Meets licensure requirements of the Department of Education
Performance Responsibilities:
Follows/plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students Creates a climate that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students Guides the learning process toward the achievement of stated goals and objectives Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for the implementation of the school district's student achievement goals Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the substitute teaching position Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning Demonstrates competence in classroom management The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
