Recent Professional Development for teachers has focused on Teaching for Transformation, Deeper Learning, Student Support Services, and peer collaboration. We are seeking highly qualified individuals who are in full agreement with Pella Christian's Statement of Faith. Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School are accredited by Christian Schools International (CSI). Applicants must possess or be able to obtain proper licensure/endorsements as described in the job description. Pella Christian Grade School is passionate about our mission of "empowering God's children to join in His restorative work". We are currently seeking to add a qualified educator who loves to journey with middle school students, embraces collaboration, and desires to facilitate high-quality, student-centered learning.
Educational Requirements:
Possess or be able to obtain an Iowa Teaching License or Substitute License or Authorization.
Individual Requirements:
Desire to honor Christ in all teaching and learning activities. Demonstrate outstanding content knowledge and an understanding of the teaching and learning process. Establish and carry out learning objectives based on a Reformed Biblical perspective and consistent with student needs, curricular standards, and knowledge of student growth and development. Work effectively with students, parents, administrators, colleagues, and the greater community. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills with students and colleagues.
