Naperville CUSD203 is a large, suburban school district with 22 schools and many opportunities to substitute each day. We have high expectations for students and for staff, including our substitute teachers. Location = all D203 schools

Essential Functions:

Deliver lesson plans as instructed by the regular classroom teacher and/or school administrators. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students within the assigned classroom and appropriately respond to all emergency situations. Ensure the protection of equipment, materials and facilities as appropriate. Communicate in a positive way with all students, staff, and others. Manage student behavior which supports a positive learning environment

Other Functions:

May be required to participate in building events such as fire drills, evacuations, assemblies, etc. May need to direct activities of a classroom assistant(s)

Qualifications:

Active state of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), Educator License with Stipulations (ELS), or

Substitute Teacher License Physical Demands:

May need to navigate uneven surfaces for some assignments. May need to be outside at times. May need to work with materials such as paint, clay, glue, crayons, etc. for some assignments.
