Pay Rates Special Education Teacher:

Up to $50/hour, paid weekly

Substitute Teacher:

Up to $35/hour, paid weekly Position Overview The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality educational services to students with special needs. This role requires a strong commitment to collaboration, individualized instruction, and student success.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering specialized instruction to students in an autism classroom setting Supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth Collaborating with administrators, therapists, support staff, and general education teachers Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized student programs Providing consultation and support to educational teams Maintaining compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements Creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment Required Credentials Special Education Teacher Illinois Professional Educator License ( PEL ) with LBS1 Endorsement OR Substitute Teacher Valid Illinois Substitute Teacher License Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching Certification preferred Learning Behavior Specialist ( LBS1 ) Endorsement preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Compliance with all professional standards of practice Current CPR certification, if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable Current Health Certificate (per state or district requirements) Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Why Apply?
