Job Description

Classroom aide/Recess monitor for the 2026-27 school year. St. Jude School seeks an energetic team player to join our outstanding support staff.

The ideal candidate should:

Possess strong interpersonal skills. Develop positive working relationships with teachers, students, administrators, and parents. Maintain a high level of professionalism and dedication to the work of the school mission. Maintain appropriate adult / child relationship. Be patient and caring with students of all learning styles and abilities. Model the Catholic Faith through their example and Christian living. View each student as a unique individual created by God and placed in our care to love, nurture and educate, helping them discover and develop their unique gifts and talents. Possess the energy, enthusiasm and physical health to perform the required duties of an elementary school day. Daily duties will include but are not limited to the following: Monitor recess daily from 11:00-12:45. Assisting teachers during classroom instruction, monitoring behavior and keeping students attentive and on task. Reinforcing lessons presented by the teacher through guided practice with students, one-on-one or in small groups.
