Middle School Math Long-Term Substitute
Grades:
6-8 Position Overview The Middle School Math Long-Term Substitute at Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton, MA will provide instruction in mathematics for students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 during an extended teacher absence. The ideal candidate will create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment while maintaining continuity with the school's mathematics curriculum and Catholic mission. Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics lessons to students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 in accordance with established curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a respectful, orderly, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varying academic abilities and learning styles.
  • Assess student understanding through classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and other appropriate assessments.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records as required.
  • Communicate appropriately with parents/guardians, faculty, and school administration regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Collaborate with other middle school teachers to support student learning and consistency across grade levels.
  • Reinforce the school's behavioral expectations and Catholic values throughout the school day.
  • Serve as a positive role model who reflects the mission and values of a Catholic school.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, prayer, and other school activities as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and faith-filled classroom environment. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to work effectively with adolescents and support diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Commitment to the Catholic mission of the school.
