Non-Certified Teacher with a minimum of an Associate Degree or 60 College Credits
- $126.00 Per Day
Non-Certified Teacher with Bachelor's Degree - $140.00 Per Day
MA Certified Teacher - $154.00 Per Day
Haverhill Public Schools Retired Teacher - $175.
00 Per Day
Long Term Substitutes in the same position on the 31st Day will receive $50.00 more a day from the current subsitute rate above
Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority:
Directly responsible to the Principal in all matters pertaining to the building. Jointly responsible to the Principal and appropriate Supervisor in areas of instruction and curriculum and to the Superintendent of Schools and/or his/her designee.
Statement of Duties:
Responsible for instructional, curriculum and general duties as indicated by the Principal, Supervisor, and directives of the Superintendent. Works cooperatively with colleagues, administrators and parents/guardians
Substitute daily for absent professional staff as determined by the Principal/designee.
Maintains and respects confidentiality of student and school personnel information.
Must possess the ability to adapt to a variety of lesson plans when covering various subjects or grades. Provides summary of activities accomplished, lesson plans completed and not completed and any other additional information that the classroom teacher should be aware of.
Maintains a safe and positive learning environment for all students and reports all student discipline issues to the appropriate authority.
Adheres to district policies for staff.
Annually completes the appropriate staff training and Substitute Handbook
Performs other duties assigned by the Principal or directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
Qualifications:
Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- preferred
Non-Certified Teachers, include individuals with a minimum of an Associate Degree or who have completed two years of college (60 credits).
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
