Founded in 1998, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS) in Malden, MA serves more than 1,600 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.

Students in Grades K-12 attend school in dress code for 200 instructional days each year. Job Summary

Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grades 3-6 Classroom Teacher to join our team. The Classroom Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, maintaining a structured and positive learning environment, monitoring student progress, and supporting the academic growth and success of each student.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, committed to high academic expectations, and eager to contribute to the MVRCS school community.

Responsibilities

Maintain an organized classroom environment and consistent daily schedule.

Foster a positive and structured learning environment while effectively managing classroom behavior.

Implement designated curricula with fidelity, including Direct Instruction and Core Knowledge.

Monitor and document student progress and submit required information to the Professional Development Coordinator.

Document the successes and challenges of Core Knowledge lessons as required.

Participate in all required professional development and training.

Attend and participate in weekly grade-level team meetings, Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetings, and staff meetings.

Participate in IEP meetings when necessary.

Implement required classroom accommodations and modifications outlined in students' IEPs and 504 Plans.

Complete required progress reports, report cards, and grades throughout the school year.

Conduct four parent-teacher conferences each school year—two in the fall and two in the spring.

Attend Back-to-School Night, open houses, and other required school events.

Participate in assigned morning, lunch/recess, and afternoon duties.

Support, enforce, and adhere to all MVRCS policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to define problems, collect and analyze information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to perform responsibilities in accordance with school requirements, state and federal laws, and MVRCS policies.

Strong collaborative, teaching, coaching, and leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a grade-level and school-wide team.

Successful completion of applicable MTEL requirements within one year of employment.

Employment

This position is evaluated annually and is an annual appointment.
