Immediately Job Description The Pembroke Public Schools is accepting applications for
SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS/PARAPROFESSIONALS
(daily, on-call substitutes) for the three elementary schools, middle school and high school in the district. Elementary is grades PreK-6, Middle School is grades 7 & 8 and high school is grades 9-12. 1.Implement teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency. 2.Communicate with classroom teachers and if necessary, principal regarding expectations for student work, behavior, and lesson execution. 3.Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students. 4.Ensure the teacher's absence does not cause an interruption in classroom instruction. 5.Perform supervisory duties as assigned (such as lunch, bus, or recess duty). 6.Abide by state statutes, school committee policies and regulations 7.Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. 8.Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information 9.Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed 10.Assumes responsibility for other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
