We're hiring substitute teachers to support students in inclusive and special education classrooms. We're looking for adaptable and committed substitute teachers to support learning across a single school building. You'll work with multiple classrooms, gaining valuable teaching experience and building lasting relationships in one consistent setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
  • Assign lessons and follow the classroom lesson plans
  • Maintaining a safe learning environment
  • Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance students learning experiences and support them as needed
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher (or at least 60 college credits completed) OR at least six months working as a substitute teacher plus a high school diploma
  • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
  • US Work Authorization
  • Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
Physical Requirements:
  • Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
  • Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application process
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Substitute teaching experience
  • Experience working in a classrom
  • Experience following lesson plans and/or curriculums
  • Experience working with children
Salary Pay:
$160
  • $180/day, paid weekly.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am
  • 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).
