A Substitute Teacher teaches or supervises classes for teachers who are away on leave or sick. May substitute for teachers at several different schools or school districts. May substitute for one day or for a longer term absence; may follow lesson plans developed by the regular teacher, or work with teacher who will be out to create new lesson plans and assignments.
Saccarappa School Join the Saccarappa Shining Stars! Saccarappa's passionate and collaborative staff is looking to add a Designated Building Sub ("Bench Sub") to its team for the 2026-27 school year. About the Position Bench subs report to Saccarappa Elementary daily to fill various open positions throughout the building. Bench subs get to know all of the students and staff, which makes for a more effective and enjoyable experience when covering classrooms. Ideal candidates will be collaborative, positive, flexible, and fun! About the School Saccarappa Elementary is a K-4 school of approximately 400 learners and 80 dedicated staff. In addition to literacy and numeracy, our curriculum includes classes in art, music, STEAM, physical education, and library. Technology resources and skills are integrated across the curriculum and in all school settings. Our Title I school is proud of its knowledgeable and compassionate Multilingual, Special Education, MTSS, and Gifted and Talented programs. Staff work collaboratively to provide support for a wide range of diverse learners. Professional Learning Communities meet weekly during early release periods to study best practices and refine the art of teaching.
