Job Description

Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher (October-January)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruction and supervision of all students Teach district-approved curriculum Provide a clear purpose for instruction through high student engagement, a knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy, and use research-based strategies; understand all forms of assessment and how to use these assessments to drive instruction, provide a positive classroom environment and culture that is conducive for all students to learn, and collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved Implement Michigan State Standards through effective instructional practices Work as a team member to help our students build success stories
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Help monitor hallways and school grounds Be involved in after-school and extra-curricular activities Keep accurate classroom records and communicate effectively Attend conferences and workshops to keep current on professional development Work as a collaborative team member looking to grow as an educator and teacher
TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS
Math Endorsement (EX) for appropriate grade levels preferred
