Position Overview:
Delton Kellogg Elementary School is seeking a patient, tolerant, and flexible professional to serve as a Building Substitute Teacher . This individual will provide daily classroom coverage and instructional support in grades K-5, ensuring that student learning continues seamlessly in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction following lesson plans prepared by the regular classroom teacher. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Adapt to various grade levels and subject areas as needed throughout the school day or week. Support the academic and social-emotional needs of all students. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to promote student success. Supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties. Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, families, and staff. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred. Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills. Dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Commitment to the mission and values of Delton Kellogg Schools.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time position during the school year (daily presence in the building).
