Minimum Requirements:
Substitute Paraprofessional:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and passing ParaPro exam
- If you have Bachelors degree - ParaPro exam not required
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Substitute Teacher:
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Must be able to pass a background check.

Paraprofessional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher aides, instructional assistants, classroom assistants or education assistants.
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.
