Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a Paraprofessional in a thriving district near Elk River, MN. Multiple opportunities are available across several elementary school sites, offering a variety of environments to match your interests and expertise. In this contract position, you'll dedicate 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, fostering student learning and ensuring all children can thrive within inclusive classrooms. Ideal candidates demonstrate commitment, compassion, and adaptability, ready to work closely with teachers and students to provide individualized support. Please carefully select your preferred school from the available sites and ensure you map the campus location to best fit your daily routine.
What We Look For:
Highly qualified status, verified by either: Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam) Completion of at least 60 college credits with official transcripts (photos of diplomas or degrees are not accepted) Prior experience working with children in educational or care settings Willingness to assist students with all personal care needs, including toileting Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families
Your Key Responsibilities:
Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students individually and in small groups Assist with classroom organization and lesson preparation Ensure a safe and supportive environment, including helping with mobility or toileting as needed Follow individualized education plans and participate in team meetings with school staff In return, you'll benefit from a consistent weekday schedule in a vibrant school atmosphere, competitive pay starting at $20 per hour, and the opportunity for direct hire after the 90-day period (422 contracting hours).
