Miniapple Int'l Montessori is hiring part time substitute teachers to work with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Do you love working with and providing excellent care for children? Do you love the outdoors, arts and crafts, music and stories? Join our experienced teaching team as we plan for staff vacations, continuing education and schedule changes. Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday though Friday. Hours may be scheduled in advance or substitutes may be called in the night before or day of to cover a shift. Experience is preferred but not required. Substitute Responsibilities Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained, Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers; Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy; Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed; Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment; Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health, and care of students.
