Position Overview As a Substitute Teacher, you will help maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment while the regular classroom teacher is absent. Substitute teachers are responsible for following lesson plans, engaging students in learning activities, maintaining classroom expectations, and providing appropriate supervision and support. Responsibilities Follow lesson plans and classroom instructions provided by the teacher or school Lead students through assigned coursework and learning activities Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment Provide classroom management and student supervision Assist students with assignments and answer questions when appropriate Communicate effectively with school staff and students Respect and support the school's Christian-based educational environment and values Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework may be required depending on placement Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable, responsible, and adaptable Ability to manage a classroom with patience and professionalism Comfortable working in a Christian-based school environment Why Work with Flexible Educators?
