A Substitute Teacher teaches or supervises classes for teachers who are away on leave or sick. May substitute for teachers at several different schools or school districts. May substitute for one day or for a longer term absence; may follow lesson plans developed by the regular teacher, or work with teacher who will be out to create new lesson plans and assignments.

Minimum Requirements:
18+ years of age (20+ to substitute within high school level) 36 college credit hours or high school diploma AND completion of substitute training course- Kelly offers the substitute Pathways Substitute Training course for candidates without the 36 college credit hours
Missouri Substitute Certification Process Substitute Pay Rates:
Teachers/Librarian, including ECE (or 1-11 consecutive days): $150 Per Day Teachers/Librarian, including ECE (11-30 consecutive days): $180 Per Day Teachers/Librarian, including ECE (Long-Term- 31+ consecutive days): $240 Per Day Teachers/Librarian (Retired Daily and 1-11 consecutive days): $180 Per Day Teachers/Librarian (Retired Daily and 11-30 consecutive days): $240 Per Day Teachers/Librarian (Retired Daily
