Temporary-Permanent Substitute - 2026-2027 School Year
Core Responsibilities
Daily Classroom Coverage:
Report to the assigned school building each workday and provide classroom coverage for short-term or long-term teacher absences due to illness, professional development, personal leave, or other reasons.
Instructional Delivery:
Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher and maintain an engaging and productive learning environment that supports student learning.
Classroom Management:
Supervise student behavior, enforce school and classroom rules, and maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment across various grade levels and subject areas.
Interim and Support Duties:
When classroom coverage is not needed, assist with other instructional or school support duties, such as monitoring hallways, covering lunch periods, assisting small groups, or providing other support as assigned.
Record Keeping:
Take attendance, complete or assist with grading as directed, and provide appropriate feedback or notes for the regular classroom teacher.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education/Experience:
A bachelor's degree or teaching license is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior classroom, teaching, or other experience working with students.
Adaptability:
Ability to quickly adapt to different subjects, grade levels, classroom environments, and teaching styles with minimal notice.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, and administration.
Compensation
Certified:
$4,800 per month
Non-Certified:
$3,762.50 per month
