Job Description

Clearway High School is seeking a substitute teacher to join our team. As a program of the Nashua Adult Learning Center, Clearway High School's mission is to transform the lives of individuals and families by providing education, job training, and support services so that all community members can reach their full potential. Clearway is a Non-Public school, accepting student referrals from local school districts and is recognized as such by the New Hampshire Department of Education. Clearway serves just under 70 students in grades 9-12 and specializes in providing individualized and flexible academic instruction. Our model offers students a supportive and inclusive environment with small class sizes. The substitute teacher will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the classroom and ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning. You will be responsible for following lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and fostering a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to interact in a positive way with students who have not previously experienced success in school.
Overall Responsibilities:
  • Implement lesson plans and educational activities provided by the regular teacher
  • Provide support and guidance to students as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration
  • Return classroom materials and reports to the regular teacher Expected 6 hours daily as needed 8:10am-2:10pm $29.
