A Substitute Teacher teaches or supervises classes for teachers who are away on leave or sick. May substitute for teachers at several different schools or school districts. May substitute for one day or for a longer term absence; may follow lesson plans developed by the regular teacher, or work with teacher who will be out to create new lesson plans and assignments.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
: Implementation of lesson plans designed to enhance educational performance and to facilitate independence. Follow lessons and directives left by classroom teacher. Ensure the safety and well-being of students. Utilize teacher assistants as needed, ensure students are on time for therapy sessions, . Follow through on therapeutic activities; assist in meeting the ADL needs of disabled students.
REQUIREMENTS

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER ASSISTANT
: Assist with general classroom routine as directed by assigned teacher. Provide assistance and instruction to an individual or small group of students. Assist students with navigating throughout the building for therapies and activities. Assist students upon arrival to the building and safely transport students to all therapies, actvities, lunch and dismissal. Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary team of professionals and classroom staff. Follow up with all therapy directives. Utilize specialized therapy equipment as directed. Follow medical directives regarding personal care. Assure students' physical well-being as needed. Assist students with ADL skills such as feeding, toileting and hygiene. Observe general health of student and inform teacher/nurse of any medical concerns.
Provide hands-on assistance:
lifting, carrying and transferring. Promote a nurturing and supportive environment for ALL students. Perform other duties as assigned by classroom teacher or school administrators.
CERTIFIED SCHOOL THERAPISTS
(PT/OT/SLP) : Provide therapy in licensed discipline, develop and implement IEPs, participate on a trans-disciplinary team, serve as a resource and consultant to teachers and other related service professionals, update progress reports/SEMIs.
REQUIREMENTS
Licensed in the Related Service Discipline and NJ School Certified.
CERTIFIED BEHAVIORIST
: Evaluate problematic behavior in students, develop and implement behavior plans, participation on a trans-disciplinary team, serve as a resource and consultant to teachers and therapist, write appropriate behavior plans and assessments.
REQUIREMENTS

BCBA. REGISTERED NURSE
: Provide medical treatment as needed , follow all student medical treatment plans, implement IEPs, serve as a resource and consultant to teachers and therapists, respond to medical emergencies throughout the school building and grounds.
Requirements:
RN. School Nurse Certification is preferred.
