ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Displays a desire to work with students and staff Serves as a role model for students Works as a member of a team Follows written instruction independently Provides for the safety of students Responds to students as individuals
Provides any assistance to principal as requested Prepares a written report for the returning teacher on the conduct of the class including, but not limited to, how the assignments were carried forth, any breach of the rules or any written report deemed necessary or required by the principal Fulfills any assigned duties of the regular teacher: Elementary Teacher Duty (K-6) An individual employed for purposes of substituting at this level will maintain a duty day according to the following: 1.

Secondary Schools (7-12) Reporting time for teachers Fifteen (15) minutes after students' dismissal An individual employed for purposes of substituting at this level will maintain duty day according to the following: 1.

Fifteen minutes prior to the start of student school day Fifteen minutes after student dismissal or sooner if the last period of the day is a preparation period. The substitute must assume duties of the absent teacher so if these duties require an earlier and/or later duty time reporting, the duty day is defined by the duties required.
