Under the direct supervision of the Education & Disability Service Manager, substitute teachers will maintain direct supervision of students before, during and after school. Substitute teachers will follow the teacher's lesson plan and continue with the educational objectives of the grade being substitutes. Ensure safety and maintain order in the classroom, playground, and cafeteria including wherever students are present while contributing to the educational process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED Must be 18 years of age Current valid New Mexico's Driver's License Must successfully be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation

NATURE OF WORK ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is generally performed in a school/classroom setting with a moderate noise level. Evening, weekend, and/or holiday work may be required.
