General Job Description THRIVE's In-House Substitutes play an enormous role in advancing the mission, vision, and values of our school. They hold a deep belief in the potential of all students. The In-House Substitute Teacher provides consistent, high-quality classroom coverage across grades K-8. This role supports instructional continuity and school operations by stepping into classrooms as needed and assisting with other duties when substitute coverage is not required. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and committed to upholding THRIVE's values and mission. Responsibilities Provide daily classroom coverage for absent teachers in grades K-8 Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided by classroom teachers Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environment Support student learning by following established school policies and procedures Communicate effectively with school staff regarding classroom activities and student needs Manage classroom behavior using school-approved strategies Additional Duties (When Classroom Coverage Is Not Needed) Assist in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one with students as assigned Support administrative tasks such as copying, organizing materials, or data entry Provide supervision during lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, or transitions Assist with school events, testing support, or special projects Support student interventions or enrichment activities as directed Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet school-wide needs Qualification and Requirements Potential candidates must meet the following requirements in order to receive an offer from our team: State Substitute or Teaching licensure and any other requirements specified by the NM Public Education Department Criminal background clearance Authorization to work in the United States Environmental Conditions The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Duties are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors.

Compensation Package Salary Range:

For planning purposes, candidates should assume their salary will fall within the range of $34,020

• $34,995, depending on years of experience and licensure level.
